:: Goals

Educational goals of the International Winter School on Grid Computing '08 are to:

  • Provide participants with the necessary theoretical background for practical exercises
  • Enable participants for using Condor, OGSA-DAI, Globus and gLite
  • Direct participants towards available GRID services
  • Encourage collaboration between participants.

:: Curriculum

IWSGC'08 consists of four technology slots. Each technology is allocated a period of one week as its prime delivery period and a separate tutor.

  • Technology 1: Condor
  • Technology 2: OGSA-DAI
  • Technology 3: Globus
  • Technology 4: gLite
IWSGC'08 consists of 7 live online events and asynchronous work in between. In order to successfully complete the Winter School, participants are obliged to attend at least 4 live events in their full duration.
